Its a box its a box...OPEN the darn box!!...been waiting in ALL day until 4.15pm just for this

Just open the DARN box will you....
Surgical knife chosen and gloves on....Scalpel please nurse....I'm going in

Lets get rid of all this junk first....

Brochure...letters..envelope...bill and stickers....

lots of darn stickers and polishing cloth

Now what did I actually order....???Hang on...whats in that bubble wrap?

Top middle

Ah......now I remember

Titanium Moto Corse Oil cooler cover for mr DB6

Yes...thats the puppy....ruddy thing is wafer thin...tried to weigh it...the empty envelope registered a movement on my kitchen scales...but the grille/cover didnt.....its that thin...I'd say less than 5 grammes...but I'm not going to the expense of getting some salter electronic scales to prove it....

THey dont "bend" it to suit...it comes flat...but the slighest cough from an asthmatic hamster and it curves into shape....Oh lord...can I really fit this thing onto my bike? Its like pinning a Plus £100 note onto it if the UK printed such currency.....its very close to a 200 euro note that I've seen recently....

Ah well...time to treat the old girl DB6...as next week she goes in for new belts and shims/valve clearances

"Thats all folks...."

OK guys and gals.....sunny day...up early for a bike MOT and bike ride after...SO...it was time to fit the Moto Corse Oil Rad cover....small allen key and 10mm socket spanner...tis all you need.....Measured the thickness of the cover on my verniers….0.4mm thick.....

Heres the before....the black bit below not the SS bimota air box vent cover

And heres the after....very pleased...although no instructions or pictures given even in the Moto Corse parts brochure...it soon became clear you need to unpick the blue rubber grommets as it fits flush to the steel hanger plates.....not such an issue....left them soaking in boiling water to make them more pliable for re-insertion after rad cover was on...simple 10 mins job including cup of coffee

Before insertion of rubber plugs....flats on cover to insert of steel hanger bracket....and then I pushed the rubbers half through from the oil cooler cover side....

All bolted up and good to go....Longer trip due tomorrow....and out on a venture to break my "guzzi cherry"...playing swapsies…...Swapsie DB6 for Guzzi Griso….not sure how long the swap over will be.... Shocked

Quality products from Moto Corse...I always suspected so....and now its a bit "dangerous" that I've broken my cherry on actually buying a Moto Corse product....Now I know why 2 friends have gifted me Moto corse products Brochures recently...either its to stop them drooling over other stuff and ordering more...Or...as I discovered today...even though I only bought one wafer thing Oil cover...the box also included 2 No. Moto Corse Parts brochures......Hhmmmm….Off now to have some tea and hopefully laugh at Laminators expense of him being filmed and shown on National TV on tonights CAR SOS.....teehee...got it recorded so I can rewatch time over....

Yeah, it’s a slippery slope. The wish list becomes never ending. Don’t ask how much I’ve spent on farkles for the Mv Agusta. Surprised

Wow that is really an unusual color combination...but it is striking too!

I agree with the side stand color. Blech! What? Did they run out of anodizing?

And since I am playing post catch-up, the radiator guard is fantastic!

Time to "refresh" this post...of "Somethings Coming"....and instead of shiney lightweight trinkets and baubles...this time the thing thats coming...Has 2 wheels....engine and all the other bits...Yup...a new one being added to the fold.....Oh me oh my.

CLues?...as the big reveal will be a while awaiting shipping and delivery.....Its Italian....ALL Italian......But it aint a Bimota....Shock...Horror!!..So whats the post doing in here as opposed to "other Chat"...Well...Its a bike designed by the great Massimo himself...so I feel that it deserves to come under Bimo-TA Chat.....

Guesses on a postcard please
