....Big bore SB6 booked in for MOT at 17:00 hrs, sun shining so a couple of hours blasting around the country side terrorising the local chavs and wannabees. Swear i went supersonic at one stage Laughing
Anyhoo, after a couple of hours of very spirited riding I arrived at the MOT station for a cup of tea. Quick check around the bike then onto the brake tester..............
pull the lever gently...bit more...bit more.....front wheel locks....lever goes back to the bar and there's brake fluid everywhere Shocked

Original, 3 way Bimota brake hose...one of the ally, crimped on ferrules had split on the 3 way joiner block in the middle and one of the 3 hoses popped off Shocked

I must have pulled the brake lever quite hard about 100 times in the previous two hours riding and it doesn't bear thinking about what might have happened.

Check your brake hoses guys Wink

I'll try and get a picture of the offending article in the morning as I'm off to work now.
Fortunately I had a spare which is already fitted ready for the re-test in the morning Wink

You look after your steed and it will look after you.

Alexander the great tamed a famous horse called Bucephalus in his youth. It rode him into every battle when he conquered the known world, until, a final battle in modern day Pakistan, when both the horse and alexander suffered severe wounds. Bucephalus rode back to the Macedonian lines and died as he dropped Alexander back into the arms of his retinue... Wink

Now go pamper the bikes men, they know!!!!

Check your hoses guys Wink
Just got back from the re-test after fitting a spare bimota hose but I'm going to buy shares in HEL or Goodrich immediately:roll:
OR does anyone already have a trade account with a hose company and wish to pass a discount on to forum members?

That's a very generous offer stocker...
Could you price up a SB6 kit please...
Braided ,coated, maybe black, possibly race set-up (2 full length lines)
Whichever set up comes out at a real good price because I might need a couple of kits Wink
