Chaps, for those of you who take the occasional pillion it may be worth checking the grade of bolts that hold the pillion footrest mounting frame to the actual bike subframe -on the YB11 and BB1 its under the seat/tank unit. I had one of the bolts break last weekend and the footrest on the non exhaust side drop and twist on the second bolt as I went over a bump in the road nearly unseating my pillion (followed by substantial whinging and abuse ). When I had a look it appears the correct bolts are marked 8.8 on them, but the two in the broken side had been replaced with unmarked ones at some point in the past and were obviously not of the correct grade.
May be worth a quick check when you have the tank/seat unit off |

Thats pure Nasty Nige.
I mean, deliberately replacing one of the bolts with an inferior one, jsut so that your girlie won't ride pillion any more.
You certainly take no prisoners in your household |
