Well, so much for New Years Resolutions, I'm total pants at keeping them anyhow, AND I nearly lasted the whole month, but it would seem that something else is coming.....
Full House maybe????? It would appear that I'm one short of a Full House so who knows.....I wouldn't would I?
Monies exchanged and cashed, courier for collection and delivery sorted and due imminently....................
Just have to make some space to accommodate within the collection, seller says "immaculate and As new" so heres hoping its as good as the pictures, surely I can't pull another one out of the bag....And from a UK seller this time, but still didn't have time to view before buying, so taking him at his word re condition......One owner from new, Bog standard as per from the Factory....And no need for Import papers and registration this time, so a sinch.....
Only other intriging part is that the seller had 2 in his collection, different models though , and both immaculate...Could I resist in reduced delivery charges? 2 for 1???
Have to admit I've kept latest purchase(s) a bit close to my chest due to locality of seller in case anyone else jumped in ahead of me..... |

Bimota did that around 2000 when their old stock got sold off, not much chance of a repeat I don't hink. How are things over there? You residents in Spain holding out over the Euro waiting for a Van full of cash from GErmany? Seriously how are things? |

Things are good thanks, well for me. Thankfully I'm not hit personally, too badly by the crisis.
Here in the south property and tourism are the big eco forces. Tourism seems to be holding up well. But property has been dead for a few years. Around me building work does seem to be picking up, as does the property market.
I feel it will be a few years, maybe even 10, but for most of Northern Europeans this is a stunning place to want to live. I appreciate it is not to everyone's taste. I've converted all my mates who used to state 'I dont like Spain' - now they know what they are talking about! It has a poor image as sun, sea and sangria!
The reality it it has a great climate, amazing scenery, roads, infrastructure, culture, food, history, people, etc. And they really love their motorcycling!
But sadly too little industry.
But I'm sure many people will continue to aspire to have property in, or live, this beautiful country.
So long term I'm sure things will pick up.
Ironically, probably like many other places in the world it seems to be the banks, who gave everyone and their dog tens times their salary to get us in this mess, who are now not borrowing to strong business cases and low risks, and hence are now holding back recovery!!
But hey its January, it was 22 degrees and daylight this evening at 6:30pm, and the next few days are supposed to be hotter, getting my jet ski out later this week, out on the pushbikes and motorbikes earlier this week, and no rain in the 10 day forecast - what's not to like - hence my optimism that recovery here in Spain is inevitable!! Its just probably going to take a while.
Advert for Andalucia, and the rest of Spain over
Sorry thats probably a very long reply to a simple - hows it going? _________________ Now - SB6R, GSX1400, KTM 990 SuperDuke

No worries, thats exactly the sort of response I was hoping for. Have plans in 4 or 5 years to up sticks and leave this soggy cold climate behind me, and so far its Spain or Portugal are faves. Already speak Spanish and French so language not an issue, love Italians also, culture and way of life just so different, meaning better. I love my fish and Chip shops, but if I never saw one again i wouldn't notice, and would be better for me also. Looking for more relaxed way of life, sun, sand and ..well maybe not sangria but the wines are fine, space, sure, what a novelty, and out of the rat race. Was wanting to know about the property market, what price now for 4 bed villa, pool would ne nice, but garaging for 10 bikes more essential....
To imagine being 21 degrees in January?, could cope with missiles overhead for that temp at that time of year
Looked like biking weather here today, light at 7.30ish, 7.5 degrees in the car, then 1pm it chucked it down and hasn't stopped since, just like a typical british summers day.... |

Can think of many worse places to be stuck for 10 days Crankcase!
Price of a 4 bed villa - like anywhere is greatly depends on location, location, location! Its a big old place.
The good news is due to quirky planning laws a hell of a lot of the properties are built with huge basements / garages. Mine has easily accommodated the two cars, jet ski on trailer, 6 or 7 pushbikes, and 3 motorbikes.
For example this one - in a nice area in the mountains 15 mins from the beaches - 115m2 basement - http://www.spanishhotproperties.com/en/195614/4-bedroom-Villa-for-sale-in-Valtocado-Spain
I suspect this is over priced at 550k. I'm looking at an 8 bed place near the beach for about 300 at the moment.
Plenty of bargains about at the moment, lots of stuff selling below half of what it was at 7 or 8 years ago. _________________ Now - SB6R, GSX1400, KTM 990 SuperDuke

Surely The last, landed on Monday, MOT'd that Afternoon, Insured, and VOSA date next Monday, then DVLA Man time.....
Hopefully we'll be having a Summer this year, and if this thing takes panniers and my derriere for longer than 4 Hours at a time, then suitable transport for Crankies Tea Party this year...

Its time you changed your forum name! What a great addition, impressive collection. Have you built a bigger garage? _________________ Pomps
