Thanks for documenting all you're doing on the SB6. I have learned lots from you posts on this thread. Three more weeks on the dark continent then I can get back to work on mine.

Not a problem, as long as it helps some body then it's worth doing Wink

I've been putting it off but I've got to bite the bullet now as I've run out of other things to do...............

.......electrics next, got to change a couple of connectors but otherwise fairly straight forward (need to source the next project soon)Wink
After that, I'm going to struggle to make this last too much longer unless i decide to modify the fairing to 3 pieces Shocked

Thanks Phil, it's on the list Wink .........

Today I crossed another job off the list......
these pesky engine mounting things......

one of them had a stripped thread and a butchered head so I thought I'd better make some more. The originals are a bit flimsy so the new ones are a bit over engineered in stainless.

made them for a full size socket head too so there's room for a proper spanner not that it would ever be be necessary........

....got into the habit of making double the amount to save time on the next rebuild too Laughing

P.S
do you think the extra weight of stainless over aluminium will be detrimental to performance?

The thread on these things is M16 X 1.5 Wink

Wish you wouldn't say such things, I've just opened a bag of M&M's , so do I have to replace with titanium bolts also to make back the performance?
I put Helium in the tyres, they reckon it saves 2 kilos off the sprung/loaded weight

Double bonus is if you ever get pulled over by the police, just suck on an air valve first so when he asks you questions he'll be to busy laughing at your squeeky answers to book you
