Ahoy everyone,

I have a problem with my gas tank. I took out the fuel pump for an inspection. This is how it came out:

I thought, that's no problem, I'll unscrew the cable clamp too.
So I turned the part clockwise as the sticker said. It could be turned, unfortunately it didn't come out...

I have no idea how to solve the problem. What's on the spot in the tank. Is there a sleeve with a thread laminated in?

Help!

Ahab

Had the same problem with my db2sr . If I remember correctly it is the power wire for fuel pump.I drilled it out put a new wire through and glued it in hasn’t leaked yet.tried to solder a new wire on but no success as I could not get the fitting out of tank . Cheers craig

Yes, it is the power wire.
Thanks for the idea of ??drilling out, but I don't dare to do that at the moment.

Does anyone have such a tank of a DB2SR (maybe as a reserve on the shelf) and could post photos here?

Thanks

Ahab

Hey guys - I added a fuel level sensor to mine a while last year. Some photos in this thread here, if it helps:
