I am thinking of buying an SB8Rs. Sadly, most of what I read about the machine trashes the fuel injection system and its operation, especially as a street bike. Since this machine is now 20 years old, has the fuel injection system been comprehensively figured out? And if so, what's the solution?

i don't think mine actually runs very bad. i wouldn't say it's as smooth as a Honda RC51, but it's better than my old 2nd gen aprilia Tuono.

that said, starting is where i have trouble with mine. i've figured out a good process for cold starts and it seems to be getting better the more i ride it. but hot starts after getting gas always have me sweating.
