Hi there.
Now and then I check out bimota’s…used to be a big fan and actually it hasn’t changed. Only thing that has changed is my “kind” of bike..after selling my Sb6R special to a forummer of the Isle of white if I’m not mistaken I haven’t owned a bimota. Now just love cafe-racers and built my own R nine T and currently busy with a KTM Rc8 caferacer.
Anyway reason of starting this topic is after discovering the best of both worlds and I’m trying to find some advice…I’m an emotional buyer so Indefinitely need some help on this one
It looks a bit over-priced to me, put perhaps I’m wrong and this is the bike that will get me back into the bimota’s after a long long pause!
A caferacer Ducati is engined db8 priced at 18.500 with 8000km’s on the speedometer. _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

I;ve seen the advert for that bike...I'd say it was double the price it should be...as it HAS to be a crashed DB5 thats been fixed and modified....so be careful...and check frame alignment etc etc....as no one would normally make this bike starting with a complete and undamaged DB5....it would be better to sell that and start with a crashed ducati...in my opinion that is |

the wheels, frame, swinging arm....front forks, tank, airbox and seat unit are all standard "DB5" mille...which was a monoposto....front forks are ohlins with bimota drop outs...standard...he has black anodised the lower yoke though...cant see the top yoke though...clocks original from the 1000cc Bimota DB5 Mille....all bodywork has been painted though...tank should be alloy...so check for filler... |
