Hi all - have been watching this video a couple of times now:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnMBCyf7hLw

Does anyone know if that black lump is steel, aluminium or or maybe even titanium?

It is aluminum. Probably a hi-tensile grade like Ergal (7075) or similar as there are plenty of forces acting within and on it.

I know a guy with a CNC machine. The temptation is real Cool

Edit:

I have been playing around with this CAD software for a couple of evenings. Starting from zero knowledge it is actually not as hard as I had feared.

Hi Atomibart

I think I will make the whole assembly with front wheel and brakes before considering selling it on to someone else. It is just a personal project for my own curiosity and education.

I will start a new thread in this forum so you guys can follow along Smile

EDIT: New thread is here -----------> new thread
