Gentlefolk of the forum.....it is mechanically done.

It is at Paint Supremacy in Lincoln where it awaits a slot for final finishing.

Once it's painted it will be back to Essex for 2 little wiring jobs...one is the nuetral switch and then back home....to my garage.

The seat is scultured....the dash is working......the V Due starter system is Guido's latest updated version.

I bought a 'race bike starter roller set' just to make the initial starting that less stressfull....if not for the bike...then for me!

But its completed 3-4 tankfulls on the German FRP dyno whilst Guido dialled in the carbs and zeeltronic.

If it looks good.....I will post some images...if its dreadfull...I won't.

Paint and the lay-out design is such an important thing to get right...who knows, what it will look like.

Barsteward!!...You just aint telling us what the colour scheme is in case its total pants....Tch....grrghhh....I painted the whole of my hallway, entrance, stairwell and corridors a polished pebble....sort of grey...it came out ide cold blue...Well pissed off...we can say that on here...No FB police policy....So I chose another grey...did half a wall and waited for it to dry....next morning...I couldnt detect which was which colour...ARRRRGHHHHHH...Id gone to a different shop...different brand...different name of paint and it was exact the same....I have now given up ever choosing a colour scheme...I can only COPY...plagurism...the highest form of flattery....

So...what can it be..."only the BRave" ARMED forces tribute with soldiers in silhoette?...Coz only the brave or the mad would ride a supermotard Vdue engined bike....

Brut?

I personally THink Martini/Cinzano or ALITALIA colours...as it is an all italian bike...albeit with a large lump of Glaswegian thrown into it

Of course it cant be Lucky Strike....coz thats so "last year"...teehee....Benetton 80's/90's...always liked that...as opposed to the VW Polo scheme where every panel in its entirety was a different colour scheme....looking more like a parts car from a scrap dealer...than an actual aesthetically pleasing visual design....Ze Germans are sometimes just a little too "german."...leave the engineering to them and the design to the Italians

Thanks Weed....although I have seen the dyno graphs

According to Guido it has a good output and torque curve although about 4-5 horses down on the best settings.

He reckoned that running it for 250-500 miles then another set up as the engine was brand new and tight.

2Bims......no product placements on this one.

I have a full ‘Diesel -only the brave’ 999r engined Elefant and a Lucky Strike!

This one will be more ‘understated and normal’ in appearance........ if not function.

MOT by Xmas and maybe on ‘your’ stand in January....who knows

Currently trying to find proof that Tamburini did actually pen the Strada Squalo rather than myth

I have proof that a V Due engine was sent to the Cagiva Research Centre in San Marino

Now that Bordi (the architect of the 4 valve head) is back at MV (Cagiva) he might assist.

He was very close to Tamburini and the Cagiva Research Centre days of the 916

Anyway......more to follow

"understated"....??? I cant quite form an image of that knowing you....so maybe in colours....but not in the concept....shortwheelbase supermotard with handlebars and a Vdue engine.....About as under understated as a bike can be....thats a double negative in case the english stretches you....making it friggin OVERSTATED as can be....I just hope youve got some brazed on lugs welded onto the swingarm and some "wheeliebars" and castors already made up to slot in place....as surely it will be like the CannonBall Film when
Mr. Compton (Bert Convy) and "Super Chief" Finch (Warren Berlinger) disguise themselves as a newlywed couple on a motorcycle, but Finch's extra weight forces the two to ride cross-country in a continuous wheelie

Finally the screen shot...............it works...it runs....its used 3 little tank fulls off a remote fuel tank......this one holds 25litres !!

Morning to you all out there........heres an update on that Vdue project thingy ..........it went to the show.

It was a push....most parts went back together again in time...no fuel lines but otherwise okay

Most folk appreciated it for what it was....some didn't...what can I say!

Social Media is a swine in the pigsty of mankind. Folk who cant ....want to chip at those who can.

I not great by any means... but I'll have a go.....as I said to the Exotic dancer with a strange accent.

The rear light which sits in a cnc boss hiding the battery access did not make it back in time....hence a blanking plate!

If you take it for what its meant to be......a Tamburini concept with a VDue engine.


Bearing in mind it was previously merely rumour and conjecture albeit backed up by the likes of Piero and CRC design.....its my take on the Cagiva Super City on Steriods projects people spoke about.


This is my second Tamburi concept build....the first was in 2000 and involved a 1992 Cagiva Elefant 900 ie with the 1992 Ducati 8 valve engine in the engine space with mid and rear positioned fuel tank to allow for the massive 4 valve heads and air intakes.

Tamburini penned this 10 years before the KTM 950 Adventure......what a man.

Like all projects...its finished but will never be.... as I continually refine re-model.....I may well lengthen the swing arm.....anyone have one for sale?

Congratulations on the project Gav. I always shake my head at the nay sayers who don't have the guts or commitment to create a project, yet snipe at those who do.
Anything involving a Vdue motor is a challenge that you have more than met & your interpretation looks spot on. Your old Gran is / was right

Trev……very observant of you.

In all my builds ….until they are finished I always run the front wheel backwards. It’s the last job after the tyres of choice as fitted.

The tyres will move up in size to 120 and 170 rather than the smaller budget units currently fitted.

There are still some other points to finish……the zeeltronic water pump units is draining the battery and needs a separate loom section with isolator switch

The swing arm has to be extended ……Guido is providing one.

The rear battery panel will double as a pressure sensitive brake light….but other than fuel hoses it’s ready to go

It will be road ready before March 22 ….looking forward with intrepidation
