Hi guys, I have just restored my YB11 from naked (German ZTD Kit + extras) to fully faired, - I have all the bits in new condition BUT its 18 years since I did it and I can't remember where the horn mounts.... can anyone advise please?

Have you got the Exploded Spare PArts manual...which shows you where everything bolts to...Or the YB11 WOrkshop manual?

I can email both thru if you provide an address

Hi and thanks very much for the offer- I already have them. Unless I have missed something the exploded diagrams I have show the horn in the miscellaneous electrical diagram. As such it is just shown "on the left" ie not in its actual position. I also have the cable routing book which shows everything but the horn. I have the bracket and the horn and I have spent hours looking at web pics of YB11s but I just cannot see it or remember where it went before I naked-ed it - I blame old age!

All suggestions much appreciated. I am so excited to resurrect it - having only done 6000Kms in 18 years - but this last detail is driving me nuts!

Theres not much traffic on here since FB grew...I have a recollection its supposed to bolt just below the radiator dead centre...is there a bracket it can fix to? or on the radiator? Makes sense location wise....for forward sound..I'll have a look at photo records of my old YB11 to see if I can see a horn

Apologies...No....I found a better picture and its one of the twin fans...I'm all out I'm afraid...Where is the 2 pin connecter on the loom for the horn? THats should narrow your search for a fixing place...how far is the cables reach?

Hi and thanks again for your considerable efforts. The loom leads are short, could just make the right side - just, sort of near the radiator filler, or more easily left side but their limits would place it in the way of the ram air ducts.... I will have a look again. The bracket is short and the size of the holes do not match the single large hole under the steering head, on the brace there. No matter I will look again.

Many thanks
