LOL... these double demerit weekends can really hurt, its hard enough keeping it under 13 points over 3 years anyway. Some of the laws here really suck...

Is this points on your license until you're banned??...do they have half or zero demerit weekends?...12 points here and lose license...over 5 years....each speeding breach is minimum 3 points....

Once you accumulate 12 points in a 3 year period you have to show cause why they shouldn't disqualify your license. You can usually choose to either serve a 6 month loss of license or serve a 12 month period with 1 point.

Yeah Steve what Brian said...You can pretty well count on losing 3 points if caught speeding... my last big one was 6 points and loss of license for 3 months.

I would suggest going with a larger sprocket in the rear and keeping the front at 15T. The reason is that the chain buffer on the swing arm wears out really quickly with a 14T sprocket and the chain ends up eating into the swing arm. Usually on the underside of the swing arm first. The DB4 came with 2 different chain buffers. One only protected the top side of the swing arm (bad version) the later protected both the top and bottom sides of the swing arm.

Yeah I noticed that the chain was closer to the swing arm, Ill see what I think of this gearing... It could be a bit low... you got to try these things.

I didn’t realise that there were two different versions of the chain buffers. The swingarm on one of my DB4’s is badly worn, I assumed that the chain has been left too loose at some point

FWIW Wieres list front sprockets for the DB2/3/4,14 and 15T, different part number to those listed for Ducatis so I assume they're Bimota specific.

I also got a 15T from Sprocket Specialists in the US, I think this matched the dimensions of those from Wieres. However checking my notes that was in 2007 so rather longer ago than I thought, no idea if they could still supply one.

I changed to a 41 tooth rear (a Renthal supplied by B&C), standard 15 tooth front, as the bike seemed faster in 5th than 6th, tested this going up the Mountain in the IoM, the speedo (I know, it's a Vaguelia so reads about 10% over) was indicating over 120 at 7.5K in 5th.
