As my bike will be running FCRs with no choke I felt the correct thing to do was to remove the choke pull mechanism (beautifully engineered though it is) In its place the same machinist made up a plug for the internally threaded steering stem tube.



Still a few bits to secure before I start building up but slowly geetting there . As far as possible I want to have all the parts to hand ....although I'm sure as the build progresses there may be a few mods required and a sudden realisation that a part doesnt now fit/suit.... we shall see.

Nice!

The original choke knob and holder is most certainly a nicely engineered part, the kind of piece that I can look at and admire

Beautiful. I've never seen another bike that made a boring choke knob such a desirable feature.
