Forum users.

I have 4 or 5 private messages to various folk....Smiley, Speedmate Tirefrier and others.

They are just sitting there....some for months

What is it I am doing wrong?

Or is it just that they have not accessed them yet?

Thanks

Gavin

Yes, the messages will stay in your Outbox until the recipient reads them.

As a recipient, it's easy to miss incoming private messages because you don't usually look for them and the notification is pretty small.

As Bud says Gav......its simply that they havent read them...as once they do they'd move from your outbox into your sent box....

So for once....its not your fault....and its kinda "old Skool" that you can still see that a certain sent message still hasnt been read....Messenger doesnt quite offer that service...neither email....

I also have a peculiar issue that I never get email notifications from the forum, regardless of whether it's a post to a watched thread or a PM. Admittedly, I have got an "unusual" (but valid) email address, so it might be getting blocked server-side (not in my spam/junk filters).

So, if a similar problem is happening elsewhere, the recipient may not have been notified about a message

None of us get proper notifications anymore....mine all go straight to junk folder....I move them ot inbox and mark "not junk" but my email providers software doesnt seem to want to learn they are legit......generally nowadays...I just log in once or twice a week and thats sufficient to play catch up
