Found a couple of small cracks on the cans. Right were the straps rivet onto the cans.
Plan to drill out all the rivets, take everything apart, have the cracks repaired and reassemble.
Any tips on repacking the cans?
Whats a good source for replacement rivets? |

I got all the stuff off ebay. You need sealed rivets. Wrap a layer of stainless steel wool around the baffle then the wadding. You can get expanding wadding which makes it easier or if you cant find it use stainless steel cable ties to bind it all up before putting it back in the cans.
WEAR HEAVY WORK GLOVES, the wire wool will cut you to ribbons if you dont. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
