Like the Zard squished cans , they make the rear end look a lot neater .
What is the dash you fitted ? Was it an easy swap ? |
Vort,
Sorry I missed your question about my dash. I just noticed it yesterday but couldn't remember the specifics.
My dash is a:
Trans Logic Micro Dash - 3
http://www.modulemoto.co.uk/racing-track-day-workshop-gear/translogic-micro-dash-3.html
or
http://www.performancefab.co.uk/translogic-digital-dash
It was installed by the prior owner when the Bimota unit began to fail. It works ok and appears to have a simple installation once you determine where all the wires splice into. Glad I didn't have to install it though...
It is a little counter intuitive to setup so I keep a copy of the manual with me on the bike. Mostly I just reset the low fuel light but I need to calibrate it better via a GPS app on my cell phone for the speedo and then change the low fuel mileage range.
If it ever dies, I might get a whole new dash from Koso.
For now, it works fine.
Regards. |

Here is my DB4 - one of a limited run of 10 French bikes, called a DB4S but only cosmetically different I think. If anyone has any info on these bikes please let me know!
Hoping to go to Brands Festival Italia in August.

Perhaps your dropbox is set to private? cant see piccie from link....I use Imgur for file sharing...which is free and relatively simple to use....or maybe coz I use Dropbox when I click on the image it takes me to my dropbox….I only use that for sending links to share files via email.... |

So almost....if you then go to the image on the RHS....look at BBCode and it says...for "posting messages and on Forums.....before you click on the link...which auto copies.....first set "image size" at bottom to Huge thumbnail...just by clicking on it...then you get this...nice bike
If you go to "events" on this forum...someone has set up a block booking for the Festival D'italia at Brands Hatch this year...to allow you to book your bike in....* or so of us did it last year...and you get a couple of parade laps of the circuit thrown in...worth going to especially if you like cars |

Oh...nice bike by the way....they do look good in black....seems fairly stock...original airbox still in place and Original clutch cover...other than the paint its just the single end can thats different...which looks nice and probably sounds a lot better than the shotgun original twin set |

DB4 are great bikes.
Loads of fun and character . Power not licence threatening but well matched to the light weight .
Enjoy !! |

I gave the mufflers a bit of a rub down with some soapy steel wool pads to see how they'd come up. They had a few scratches on them that were a bit unsightly.... they came up pretty good, the scratches can still be seen but they're not as noticeable now _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Are you talking about "brillo pads"?...that have pink powdery soap built in?....look nice....did it take off the anodising finish....and did you just rub down in direction around the cans...?...Been meaning to do my Db4 end cans but never touched the anodised surface on the frames or end cans...for fear of "the Unknown".... |
