Hello,

My name's Chris - I'm PB's features editor. I was on Practical Sportsbikes before - I rode 2Bims (I think?)'s DB2, and a lovely SB4 resto belonging to a bloke called Nigel. I forget his forum handle. Anyway, I digress...

For my new-ish role, I need a Bimota V-Due and an owner who's owned one for a while, and knows their bike well, for a feature. We're hoping to ride a sorted, enthusiast's bike, and debunk a bit of the negativity around them. It'll be a good few pages, partnering a feature on the new Suter 500 when we get a chance to sling a leg over that too.

Can anyone help? Bauer's insurance is fully-comp on any bike we borrow, we'll fuel it ourselves, and we'll treat it with the respect such a bike deserves. If the owner wishes, I can arrange a freebie place on our Rockingham trackday in July too.

Hopefully the blokes whose bikes I rode before will testify that I treated their bikes well. If you can help, my direct email is chris@pbmag.co.uk, telephone is 01733 468084.

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris, I had a V-due for years and wrote an article for MCN about it, back in 2005 / 2006 I think. Sold it years ago but memory is still fresh. I am sure you will find an owner / rider on here who still owns a V-due but if all else fails I am happy to have a chat with you about them. Nigel is still a member on here and all round good guy. Best of luck, Mark Rothwell.

Sounds like you need to change your username! Lucky fella.

I'll drop you a message. I did have Nigel's in mind - I saw it when I rode the SB4, and it's what got me thinking about this in the first place. But it's been a few years, my contacts for him are out of date, and I couldn't remember his username on here either.

That would be great. Vdue in all its glory. Smile

2bims and I took ours to the classic TT last year and they got a crowd where ever they stopped.

Rucksack.

Great to see PB has got a Bimota in it. Good result for the DB8 , would have been great to see what the older 160BHP DB7/8 could have got around the track in. Very Happy
Anyway GREAT work.
