well quite some food for thought there Ian. Unbelievable you spotted it to be honest - well done Brigitte!! Like all things it's sometimes just worth waiting. From the pics the swingarm brace is below whereas mine is above but only a minor detail. Looks like plenty of email correspondence to start with. I'm sure one or two who offered to buy the frame knew what it was but that's all I'm saying.
Many thanks for the pics - plan of action required now😄😄. _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650 |

didn't spot that your brace is on top of the swingarm, underneath would make more sense as they have connected it directly to the shock mounting.
I did see that it has the additional lugs on the top tube of the rear part of the frame but they don't seem to be used for anything.
I wonder if your frame might be a modified SB2, it could explain the smaller size? Can anybody measure an SB2 frame?
Keep us up to date with any new discoveries- I googled the team name but didn't find much except for pictures of Ferraris ! _________________ Bimota DB2 tricolore, Bimota YB4e.i, Ducati 851 tricolore, Ducati Hailwood Replica, 1968 Gitan Grillo sport, Yamaha GTS1000, Honda Deauville, Honda GB500 Clubman

I first thought of a SB2/80 frame which already has the rear seat support frame. But wrong! Both - SB2 and /80 frame - have a different upper rear engine mount. So it should be a modified or special SB3 frame.
What does the VIN and type plate tell? Is it a normal SB3 serial no. or a special one? Is it a SB3 or SB3D (built by Suzuki Germany)? _________________ 2x SB3, Tesi 1D SR |

Difficult to date/ number these frames as the number/ plate is on the front half of the frame so it relies on the two haves staying together throughout their lifetime . I think I have the correct front end as it's different from standard in that the lower steering bearing is much larger than the top one, needing a steering stem larger at the bottom, such as a Gsx one. _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650 |

The counting no. of the VIN (last 3 or 4) should be stamped on the upper side of the swingarm frame mount too. I think on the left side. _________________ 2x SB3, Tesi 1D SR |

I think that is the frame - that's the only picture I have found as well. Only the frame as someone has tried to make another bike with it - very badly!!! I bought 2 and have nearly completed one - picture coming soon. I have frame, rear shock and I've remade the linkages, swingarm and front frame. The extended rear set carriers I also have that are original. it had 16 inch campag a with slicks fitted and GSX 1100 front end!! _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650 |

I checked it again and it seems that only the late frames (or spare frames?) have the no. stamped on the rear frame too. It's on the right swing arm mount, not the left.
I found it on a frame with a no around 400 but not on a frame with a no. arond 300. _________________ 2x SB3, Tesi 1D SR |
