Hi Guys
I have the option of a SB6R with 12k miles in VGC.
Looks well looked after and probably fits as well as can be expected.
I understand that the instruments are prone to self destruction.
Are they an easy fix if and when they go bang.
I have seen somewhere that there are alternatives that can be retro fitted but can they be fitted without butchering the loom and instrument cowl??
Any advice as always welcome. |

Jonny B Bad has used Koso dashes which I think are fairly straight forward to fit. You'll need to do something to joint the new dash onto the existing loom, either by identifying the original block connector and using a new male or female, or by crimping in a new connector. The Koso clocks have a few extras on them that can be connected external to the original loom.
Personally I wouldn't be to hung up on seeing replacement clocks (I'd like to get the originals) if I was buying a 6R, I would want a tidy install though.
Generally Bimotas get modified, the standard ones are usually in a collection. Have a look in the SB area at http://www.bimotaforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4013 _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
