|
|
Good morning guys, I have just joined up and as usual looking for some information.
I have owned a V Due for nearly 2 years and has been a back ground project since I picked it up. It is FI model & I wanted to keep it that way, so I replaced the original ECU with a MoTec unit and this is where the fun begins.
I have fitted Lambda probes to the exhaust but being a 2 stroke, the results are inconsistent.
The question is, do you guys have any experience tuning 2 strokes on a eddie current brake dyno that you could help me with.
Cheers |

Hi Weed,
I see your in Perth as well. Not up to speed on 2 stroke tuners in town but will try and find out for you.
Wasn't aware of any vdue in Perth, would love to check it out some time.

Thanks Dan. It is not an easy path but we'll get there some how. All in the learning.
It has been suggested that I get hold of someone somehow that races the latest generation outboard boats as they are 2 stroke, fuel injected etc. Lambda readings are only causing confusion due to the oil in the exhaust gas I suspect |

Made some progress this weekend mainly with the power valve setting. She certainly is getting my attention now. Just got to finish off the mixtures.
Dan, I'll send you a PM when she is finished

Have you cleaned the injectors ?
That could help with the tuning

Yes mate. Sent them off for cleaning & flow testing. From what I am reading Lambdas don't work to well because of the relatively dirty exhaust caused by the scavenging effect. We are slowly getting there. Played with the power valve settings on Saturday & that got my attention. Good fun. |

A fit & proper number plate for her too. I put the fairings on mine last night (have to come off again of course) & they are a truly beautiful little bike alright. |

Hey you Vdue guys, I don't think I've seen any pics of a Vdue without bodywork. Anyone got any Vdue porn they'd like to share? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Just read this one too late.........just finished putting mine back together again so missed my chance.........had to strip the clutch down and clean it out......needs an open clutch cover really to let the clutch material out.....starts to gind and slip after 800 miles or so........THey look a lot like DB4's to be honest Brian when stripped....frame wise that is...and then theres rakes of plumbing and carbon air boxes and intakes and wires and cables everywhere...looks like a plumbers merchants and spaghetto factory blended in a mixer........all engine cases and halves, heads etc are alloy...but have been sand cast to a rough finish and left like that...pretty sure Vort has a picture somewhere of his stripped down...... |
