That was my thinking, whack the original carbs back on and yes, they've got the original 150 mikuni mains in them. Original pipe and air filter. Now I've calmed down ( ) I'm gonna pull the bike apart (again ) and start from scratch with the original carbs. The annoying thing is, I've been using it on occasion and it's been great albeit running rich low down (as you suggest) and bloody thirsty. My thinking is... It's running so rich, it's eating plugs.
oh well, keeps me off the streets |

What you boys need is a nice simple two stroke ! (ducks for cover). My question is, are you sure it's fuelling/air that's the problem and not ignition? Apologies if I'm being a twat. |
Steve, no such thing as a stupid question and the short answer is....No, not 100% sure |

You're absolutely right Steve, it's all too easy to end up chasing the wrong problem - BUT - in this case I'm very happy to wager Oily's sanity that I'm right.
Oily, get the bugger to bits again and prepare to buy me a pint! _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |
