Hello folks, Probably a daft question but i was reading an article on the SB6 and one of the reviews said that the fairings are prone to cracking, has anyone had any problems with this, They seem quite strong to me, Probably break with stress through wheelies..kindest regards Tommo

The fairings are prone to the paint cracking due to having to prize the left and right side apart to get past the front wheel. The fairings have not cracked on any of mine.

They do a bit, usually under the seat maybe due to the heat of the pipes and the stress of the riders weight but its only paint deep.
The main fairing gets some small cracking in the bottom where the square cut out is. They also get a lot of crap thrown up by the front wheel which makes a hole. You can patch it with some Plastex and weave reinforcement.

Its better to lift the front wheel and drop the fairing below it.

Don't worry about it Tommo I'm no light weight and I've had not problems Wink

And as for wheelie's not my strong point but I do enjoy a few first gear power stands on most rides, its the best bit Laughing

Cheers Hursty, Guess your best just to enjoy them and sort any problems when or if it happens, Ive got the old girl in bits at the minute shes all over my garage, Ive seen the photos of Vinces bike and it would be nice to get it something like that, Dont think i could afford the wheels though...kindest regards Tommo

I had a crack in the bottom fairing near the sidestand...
yesterday I've fixed with a normal fiberglass kit.
but I think it was due to a side fall of the bike, as even the footpeg was bent.
Fairing are made with an high quality standard but the installing procedure (open the bottom to pass the front wheel) can cause some paint crack...
