Need to know before I borrow from a friend. Will soft luggage melt onto exhaust. Really don't want to use a rucksack. Off to France and Spain in June. Thanks John.

To be fair John, the actual cans on my 6R don't get too warm at all even if I've been caning it but I'd be more concerned about strapping the luggage on. Have you thought about a tank bag?

Thanks. Hate tank bags. I'm nearly 6ft 4 so tank bags are to high. Above 80mph my head gets ripped of and neck kills. Panniers only option. Would use that cargo protective net. Used in past and use in boot of car to stop tool boxes sliding round. Great stuff. If gets damaged it can always be painted. Thanks for the advice. Next time out ill stop and keep checking exhaust heat with gloves on.
