|
|
Hi,
I'm looking at changing the exhaust on my YB11.. Are there any link pipes available for aftermarket slips ons, or any link pipes off other bikes that may work?
If not it's looking like a custom link pipe..
Assuming plenty of others have done this mod so any advice would be great |

I think the YB11 used the whole system from the ThunderAce - the Acropavic system should fit straight on, so a ThunderAce can and link pipe should do too _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

My YB11(ex-uk) has a Quill end can/link pipe that slots onto the exhaust just behind the exup valve. 195pounds in 1999(luckily the previous owner was a receipt horder). Not sure if Quill are still around tho. |

I won't say anything degrading about Quill, but do a search on 400greybike forum about them! _________________ 03 YB11, 03 Aprilia RSVR Edwards, 94 Ducati Superlight III, 95 Honda NC30, 04 Ducati 999S, 91 kawasaki KR1-S C2, 91 Ducati 851 USD Strada, 89 ZXR750H1, 90 ZXR400H1, 205 16v Rally Car, A6 2.7TDI Avant, STM R1 engined Phoenix |

there's a lot of negative comments
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=greybike+quill&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=dKM&tbo=d&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&q=+site:400greybike.com+grey+bike+quill&sa=X&ei=uOOvUPyfPKKe0QWvm4HIBQ&ved=0CD8QrQIwAA&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=1bf8971734a1165e&bpcl=38897761&biw=1280&bih=657
if you're happy with it tho then that's good. I think most of the comments are re fit and customer service, if yours fits and you have it then you're most of the way there! _________________ 03 YB11, 03 Aprilia RSVR Edwards, 94 Ducati Superlight III, 95 Honda NC30, 04 Ducati 999S, 91 kawasaki KR1-S C2, 91 Ducati 851 USD Strada, 89 ZXR750H1, 90 ZXR400H1, 205 16v Rally Car, A6 2.7TDI Avant, STM R1 engined Phoenix |

A lot of cans are generic. They get made from standard parts which are bought in and assembled ... then they stick a badge on it.
If you want to see if a ThunderAce can will fit buy an old one off the bay and have a look, you can always sell it on. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
