First of all, hello, i just registered on the forums.

Sadly i don't own a Bimota, but my father does, and he is thinking about selling it. His english is nonexistent, so that's where i come into play Smile

It's a 1985 BIMOTA SB4 1100 with a Yoshimura factory power kit (it gives 156 bhp). the bike is in extremely good condition. It has a little bit over 11.000 miles. That's all the info i got... I'll add a pic so you have something to look at... Very Happy

So guys, How much do you think is worth?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

haha, i'm sure you would take good care of it.

Regarding the power, as i said on my first post, i'm just writing the info that my father gave me.. i'm no expert regarding bikes... where can i check these facts to correct them if they are wrong???

Thanks for your help guys... although nobody has given me yet a price, even an estimate!

That's the thing with the less common Bimota's........a value is a very supply and demand thing. they come up for sale so rarely, there is no "set" price.
So many variables such as condition, mileage etc.
If it is in reasonable condition I would say it is worth more than a SB6.
In these austere times, probably worth as much as you can get Wink
As much as I would be interested, logistically it would be a nightmare.

Yes but the kat is a specific model ... it would be like saying the the SB7 uses a stock GSX-R750W engine as opposed to the RR version.

OK pass my anorak

According to specs there were only 272 units produced in 1983.

The bike makes 112 hp and has wet weight of excellent 211 kg which is darn good for 1985 and even more or less Ok today.

Below is the link to all specs

http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/bimota/bimota_sb4.htm

I am sure this bike should bring decent $$$ and especially for a collector. Good luck selling it

Price is difficult for you and perhaps best to auction it with a reserve. You have a couple of issues as to which market you pitch it to ... People into Bimota's are well aware that they do not command as high a price as they look. Resent years have seen a couple of types go high such as the DB1, KB1 which would be anywhere from 6 to 10 k depending on condition. You may get a better figure for the sb4 from a collector with more money then sense who has although the SB4 had little to no success on the track to boost a price up.

It may well increase a lot in future years, they are just not familiar enough to the mass market. With interest rates as they are and the euro on the edge of a cliff my advise is keep it in the family, learn to ride and enjoy it yourself and take care of it. It needs to be ridden to maintain the moving parts and kept away from damp.

So, KEEP it. If not put it up for auction with maybe 5k reserve or advertise for 7 to 8 k and expect to be haggled.

Good luck either way... KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!!
