Where do these folk get this from!
odd place for the Ohlins shock to be mounted, mine is across the frame and further back, but mine is a later electronic clock bike
Also has it been dropped, suspicious tape/paint of swingarm both sides

24000 miles for £8000! I'd comment more but Oily will be along soon/ // /

It's a dealers so the prices are high.

yes, scammer, no doubt! I let you know when I have a Db2 in my garage for £1995. I want a real Bimota, like an SB6 really, but a DB2 would do I suppose, 2 cyl less and all that

Got the email back a number of times saying his email isn't working and can I contact him on another email address. Soon as I said I was in london, could I come for a look, nothing!

Update on the Gumtree Advert.

Here are the blokes email extracts, PLEASE BE AWARE, BE VERY AWARE

Sorry for this late reply but I have been overwhelmed by the large number of emails I got from possible interested buyers after listing my bike on Gumtree .Its still for sale. Immaculate condition, no damages, nothing to worry about. All necessary documents available.

If you are interested in buying it, the price is £1999 and this is with shipping costs to your location included. I'm selling the bike because I can't use it due to my new job (I work as a doctor on a cruise ship) and I don't have anyone in the UK to whom I can give it.

Due to the large number of people that are just asking different questions without even being interested in buying my bike i have decided to use another online platform for making the sale. Are you familiar to eBay? The deal will go strictly according to eBay Buyer Protection rules and policy.

As you know eBay is the best company for online transactions.

I will wait for news from your part

2ND EMAIL RECEIVED

I'm sorry for the delay in my response but I have a lot of work .As I said in the first email I work as a doctor on a cruise ship and I can't meet you or bring you the vehicle, so that's why I am using a shipping company.

The vehicle is already at the shipping company in Aberdeen Scotland, is crafted and ready for the shipping. The shipping process will take between 1-5 days, depending on your location, I must pay a fee for each day for stationing in the warehouse so I priced it low to sell it fast and that is my secret for selling it so low.
I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them.
you give me your full name and shipping address, mobile phone number in order to can make all the official documents

Everything is covered by eBay. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the vehicle in good order.
Let me know if this is acceptable. Thank you

AND HERES THE EMAIL FROM
ebay@prv-listing.com

Never heard of that one before?????????

Dear ,

Please tell us if you received the invoice for payment. To make the payment you must to go to a Bank Office location and ask the clerk to make the payment using the details we have sent. Please be careful to make the payment in the name of our Premium Bank Account and not in the seller's name. This means you'll be sending the money to one of our agents and he will release funds to the seller only after you receive the item and confirm that it is as described. There is also a £10.000 insurance protecting the transaction and the vehicle.

After you have made the payment please send us the scanned receipt from Bank Transfer to the fax number: 0844-500-9689 .

Once we receive the fax from you that will include the payment details as explained above, we will instruct the seller to start the shipping process.

We will hold the payment until you send us your confirmation that you are satisfied with the product you received. As soon as we receive your confirmation we will release the payment to the seller. You will receive further details regarding the shipping process (courier information, tracking method, expected delivery date) after the payment confirmation.

* The eBay Buyer Protection Program are being sent as an attachment to this e-mail. You can open them in Adobe Acrobat Reader after downloading them.

AND THE ATTACHMENT HAS SORT CODE AND ACCOUNT NUMBER OF A HSBS BANK AND I TRACED THE SORT CODE TO AN ACCOUNT IN THE MIDLANDS,

SO HE EMAILS FROM A GERMAN YAHOO.DE EMAIL ADDRESS, IS A DOCTOR ON A CRUISE SHIP AND THE BIKE IS CRATED AND READY FOR DELIVERY IN ABERDEEN AND HE WANTS THE MONEY SENDING TO A HSBC BANK IN THE MIDLANDS

GOT TO GO, AM BUSY FAXING MY MONEY OVER AS I WRITE Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I had dealings with this exact same scam (including the aberdeen bit) a few weeks ago when I spotted a big tube Spondon for 1/2 price.

I'm still waiting for them to deliver as I offered an extra £500 for cash on delivery Wink

i just sent him the following

"That’s fine, my friend and colleague works in the transport industry in Aberdeen supporting the offshore installations. He knows 90% of the shipping companys there, it’s really a small place.
If you can tell me where the bike is and I can have him arrange to inspect. Even tho they don’t allow visitors in the these places, he knows most on first name terms.
As you see by my email address, I work for Halliburton, global oil service company,
Once the bike is inspected, that is fine.
I bought two ducati’s the same way in Holland last week. They were shipped over from a contact in Holland, I paid on arrival, please I am a man of my word

Many thanks,

Phil "

PS, so everyone kept stum on this one and was trying to buy it, I reckon even Oily had a secret desire for a twin
