|
|
Hi there all,
Ia m busy trying to get some more intell about the bimota sb6r.
I have two questions.
What type of headlight does the 6r have? ( i used to have a sb8r wich had a suzuki tl1000s headlight...now my question is what bike is the donor for the sb6r headlight or is it a real bimota headlight?).
Second question, are there any kind of carbon mufflers/silencers been on the market for the sb6r? Or does anyone know which types from a another bike have the same size as the 6r's?
The stock silencers look great, but of course carbon silencers are the ones that should be on this bike ( i replaced the stocks also on my sb8r for carbon ones...so never change good habbits ).
Hopefully you guys can answer my questions _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

The head light is a Yamaha style which was on:
FZR1000RU, TRX850 some FZR600 single lamp
FZR400RR 3TJ two paralever style
There's also one with paralever style and normal lamp. Be aware the Yamaha paralever bulbs are £15-19 each but the FZR400 lamp looks the best ... not great at night though.
The end cans aren't srouded by the bodywork like the Six, so you can cut the ordinary cans off and put whatever you want one, I've seen carbon trioval Achros on and they looked sweet. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Hanks for the input.
Can someone give me the size of the silencers?
Length and diameter of the pipe wich goes into the exhaust pipe
Hope what you know what i mean
Just found a set of two brothers silencers of a yamaha r1
Look beautifull they must be about the same sizes as the stock one otherwise there will be to many welding if the numbers are pretty much the same, the two brothers are a good option.

In another week or so i'll be able to measure mine up but not before sorry. I'm interested in finding an alternative as well as the originals are very heavy and i recon could be a bit louder

Yes!! today received my fzr400rr headlight from the UK ( a real nice trx 850 rider had one spare and send it to holland )with cracked glass.
Now i have to find a right euro glas to put inside...and because i have to remove the glass and place the new one it will give me the opportunity to place angel eyes around the twin beam projectors...will make some pictures of the progress
Twin beam h.i.d. With angel eyes, without a bike
Does this make sense to you guys?? _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

Just follow this topic and you know everything
Removing the glass was easy, just put in the dishwasher and when the 30 minutes programme is finished open the dishwasher and you have 5 minutes to remove the glass before the glue is hard again
Now i am waiting on my parts from germany( european glass).
And hongkong ( led lights).
I will update on this topic when i continue the project. _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

Ah - good tip I "removed" the glass on an earlier one ... but I guess if the glass wasn't broken your way would be better because the glass won't be damaged _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
