Rex's YB5 moulds are custom shaped and made for the race bike. If you can get them made, note that they will not be the standard shape.

That sounds awesome. I'd still love to get an SB6/R one of these days. It takes a fair bit of work to get the 'little' FZR engine up to power of even the standard GSXR motor.

My YB8 is a race bike so smooth running at 3000 rpm is not required.

I know what that stuff is. I just recommissioned a '97 Suzuki RF900 which had 2km on the clock. The tank and carbs were coated with this sticky fuel residue.

Was thinking the same thing. You might also be able to cut off the bottom bit, then bend and drill a new fixing bracket. Regardless, it looks like you have the ability to figure it out. Well done.
