The standard FAG brand bearing allows variable rake angle to be used. You only need to change the top spacer (make progressivly offset ones) The bearings (barrel shape) will automatically align.

The bearings are also used on an old Mercedes gear box. Rare and getting expensive. Heard of prices ranging from 20 GBP to 100 GBP each. |

Thanks for your advice guys. Tried with the Dremel last night but nicked the stem and lost my nerve. Will try again in the weekend when the light is better. |

I need to source a new C&S for the Dieci. Chain isn't a problem (think it is a 106 link chain, but stock is an odd 532 size), and I have got a rear sprocket made up (530 to make life easy).

Got hold of a couple of FZR600 lights. They fit okay size wise but do not have the parking / side light bulb. No major issue as this is a useless light any way. |
